As you will be aware, the country is in mourning for the loss of our much-loved monarch,
HM Queen Elizabeth and I am sure we all join in offering our condolences to the Royal
family. The period of mourning is expected to last until 19th September and plans are being
put in place to mark this sombre occasion locally.
You may wish to record your appreciation of the life of Her Majesty. There will be books of
condolences in the churches around Burlescombe and Westleigh, including St Mary’s where
you can do this and there will also be a book of condolences at Phoenix House in Tiverton.
