Mental Health and Devon Mind

Burlescombe Parish Council Partners with Mind Devon for World Mental Health Day 2023

We are pleased to announce that Burlescombe Parish Council is partnering with Devon Mind, a leading mental health charity in our region, to mark World Mental Health Day on October 10th. This partnership aims to raise awareness about mental health, promote well-being within our community, and support those affected by mental health challenges.

World Mental Health Day provides an opportunity for us to come together as a community and engage in meaningful conversations about mental health. This year’s theme, “Mental Health in the Community,” emphasise the importance of community support, understanding, and connection in maintaining good mental health.

As part of our collaboration with Mind Devon, we will be working on various initiatives to support mental health in our community. These include:

  1. Information Resources: We will provide a wealth of information resources and materials about mental health and well-being, specifically tailored to our region. These resources will be available on ours and Devon Mind’s website. We encourage everyone to explore and share these resources to spread awareness and understanding.
  2. Community Engagement: We encourage everyone in our community to get involved. Share your personal stories, experiences, or messages of support for World Mental Health Day using the hashtags #WorldMentalHealthDay and #BurlescombeMind. Let’s come together to create a supportive, compassionate, and stigma-free community.
  3. Fundraising Campaign: We will launch a fundraising campaign to support the vital work of Devon Mind. Your generous contributions will help Devon Mind continue their efforts in providing essential support, resources, and services to individuals affected by mental health challenges in our local area.

By partnering with Devon Mind for World Mental Health Day, we hope to make a positive impact on the well-being of our community members. Together, we can raise awareness, reduce stigma, and foster a supportive environment for mental health.

Stay tuned for further updates and details on our website and community notice boards. Let’s stand united in promoting mental health and well-being.
